This weekend past. Some of the One Friday crew and I went out to Toowoomba (2 hours west of brisbane) to the 'Festival Of Flowers' to help with a skate & scooter competition. The competition was held in a carnival with a 5 foot halfpipe and a really sketchy stage gap with a rail that was way to tall and a landing with cracks galore....
The competition went well until about 3/4 of the way through when it started raining. The rain turned everything to ice and the platform for the skate demo turned into powerslide-off, seeing who could do the longest powerslide and not get wrecked.
After the rain ceased to slow down, the comp continued with a mass game of skate. The last games ended up being pretty slippery and wet, but the winnings were good so it was all worth it..... The winner took home $300 with a bunch of other goodies as well as $200 for 2nd and $100 for 3rd.
